Judgement Yard Declaration of The Honourable Marcus Garvey
Greetings in The Name of H.I.M.
The youths in Judgement Yard are joyful to declare the 120th Earth Strong anniversary of The Honourable Marcus Mosiah Garvey, a preeminent leader for the African Nation as well as Rastafari for all times.
In keeping with the established Judgement Yard tradition of acknowledging such momentous occasions in Rastafari, such as the earth day of Brother Marcus, we will continue to edify the people about the very important role that The Hounourable Prophet Marcus Garvey played in bringing global African consciousness to a heights never before seen in history.
Brother Marcus' legacy and spirit is kept alive and well today mainly due to the efforts of Rastafari brethren and sistren worldwide who persist in shining the truthful, positive light around Garvey and his works despite the criminalization throughout history of Brother Marcus and his righteous works through the UNIA.
The lessons that Marcus Garvey brought forth to the Rastafari Nation as well as Africans at home and abroad are more relevant today than ever before because I n I Africans worldwide find I n I selves in state of reality where Africa and her people worldwide are teetering on the brink of destruction as never before. This is due to the same colonial, imperialist, white supremacist shitstem that Brother Garvey warned I n I Africans about from those times.
Although the spirit of Marcus Garvey has been kept alive and well due mainly to the efforts of of Rastafari and Rasta Reggae music, Brother Garvey's dreams, goals and ambitions for African repatriation for the African Nation abroad have been emphasized less and less as black people begin to get comfortable and settled in the west.
The goal of repatriation must not be lost in an illusion of material wealth and vanity because material wealth and vanity shall fade away. When it is all said and done, only the righteous people shall remain.
And there can be no repatriation in this time without reparations and in order for Africans at home and abroad to receive reparations, ones and ones must be willing to struggle and fight, and if need be, I n I must be willing to sacrifice I n I lives for this predominant Rasta issue of African Redemption. African Redemption in this day can only be achieved through repatriation. Repatriation can only be achieved through reparations. Reparations can only be achieved when I n I Africans people of the earth organize and centralize according to the words of H.I.M.
But the slave masters and colonial imperialists who are living comfortably and have gained material wealth unjustly through the enslavement of Africans and Africa and her natural resources will not repay I n I Africans until their livelihood and security is threatened.
In order for this to happen, African Freedom Fighters must rise up from among the people and take a radical approach as taught by Brother Garvey. It has been proven over and over again throughout history the the 'hat in hand' approach does not work when dealing with white supremacist, capitalist vampires who have no love for humanity and wish for nothing more than their own personal gain.
Decisive action must be taken and only those among I n I who are willing to fight for I n I freedom shall be free. Freedom comes at a price. Freedom is not free.
Who is willing to pay the price? Who is willing to make the sacrifice?
While leaving the Rastafari Nation to ponder these questions in the day's meditation, Judgement Yard is joyful to leave the I with the righteous words of I n I Honourble Prophet, Marcus Mosiah Garvey:
RADICALISM
"Radical" is a label that is always applied to people who are endeavoring to get freedom. Jesus Christ was the greatest radical the world ever saw.
He came and saw a world of sin and his program was to inspire it with spiritual feeling. He was therefore a radical.
George Washington was dubbed a radical when he took up his sword to fight his way to liberty in America one hundred and forty years ago. All men who call themselves reformers are perforce radicals. They cannot be anything else, because they are revolting against the conditions that exist.
Conditions as they exist reveal a conservative state, and if you desire to change these conditions you must be a radical. I am, therefore, satisfied to be the same kind of radical, if through radicalism I can free Africa.
